Don't Settle
I haven’t seen you in a long time. But I’ve heard that you’ve been busy.
• I heard you took a big risk.
• I heard everyone talked about it.
• And I heard it didn’t disturb you one bit.
It looks like you’ve gotten really clear on what you want out of yourself. But I wanted to remind you that some days will be challenging. But when you honour life, when you honour yourself, when you honour the gifts you’ve been given, and when you live honourably, the blessings will chase you down.
People run from the good things coming all the time. Simply because they don’t have the stomach for the challenge. But trust me, you don’t want to out run the good things coming! And so my challenge to you is this: don’t settle for where you are right now...
• In your health
• In your relationship
• In your talent
• In your career
• Or in your walk with the sacred.
Be morally driven. Be content. Be patient. Have faith. But don’t settle. You’ve got to keep...
• Stretching
• Growing
• Believing
• And dreaming
Don’t let good enough be good enough. Be determined to become everything life created you to be. Perhaps you’ve dwelled on the same mountain of hardship for long enough. Perhaps it’s time to pull up your sleeves, to pack up your belongings of courage, and to just start moving forward.
Enlarge your vision. Make room in your thinking for the new thing life wants you to do and be. Don’t let your temporary situation become permanent. If you’ll learn this principle of stretching and not settling, then you will see the fulness of what life has in store for you. Then you will understand the real scope of pranayama.
I believe you were meant to overcome obstacles and to accomplish your dreams.
I heard you believe in yourself too.
