Self-care

Tending to your basic needs isn’t self-care and it isn’t self love.

You have to look after yourself. You have to start taking up space. You have to start making the time.

Dream journal in the morning. Vision board. Gratitude journal in the evening. Walk barefoot in the forest. Bathe naked in the sun. Swim naked in the river. Have cold showers everyday. Listen to positive affirmations. Walk in the rain; get completely soaked; even strip down naked maybe. Read your book. Set aside 60 minutes a day for personal development. Every Sunday, go to your local used bookstore for a few hours. Sip tea and watch the wind blow through the trees. Listen to the birds sing. Tend to your plants in your house; nurture them.

Great strides are made, when you do more for yourself, than just meeting your basic needs.
